Sleep & Breathing
Sleep and breathing are an important part of overall health, and the health and position of the jaw, tongue, and airway can play an important role in how well you breathe and sleep. As part of our holistic approach, we consider the airway when evaluating your dental and overall health.
Using advanced 3D imaging with our cone beam CT (CBCT), we can evaluate the structures of the jaw and airway to better understand factors that may contribute to breathing and sleep-related concerns. When appropriate, we may recommend an oral appliance designed to help improve airway positioning and support more comfortable breathing during sleep.
Our goal is to look beyond isolated dental symptoms and consider how the structures of the mouth and jaw may relate to your breathing, sleep, and overall well-being.
